Hi, I'm Elyse. I started out as a professional dancer and became a personal trainer, yoga teacher, and life coach. I've always wanted to help people drop the guilt/shame around movement and body image. I created my #BeKindBodyMind method to help people be more KIND to themselves as they build strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence. I want the world to know that getting fit doesn’t have to be about pushing harder, measurements, pounds, percentages, or the latest quick-fix program. I've experienced stress incontinence, for years - long before I gave birth. I always laughed it off as "a thing that happens to women in my family". After I gave birth I learned a lot more about the pelvic floor and core function. But even then I felt frustrated that I was still experiencing symptoms (even after consulting with multiple OBGYNs, PTs, and OTs)! I became hyper-focused on healing these symptoms and went through several movement-based courses and got certified to teach RYC. Restore Your Core® has helped more than anything else and finally provided some answers to my incontinence questions! Now I want to help other people learn about their core + pelvic floor function, so they can relieve their symptoms and feel better in their bodies. Along with being a certified RYC® teacher, I am also an ACE certified personal trainer, 200 hr registered yoga teacher through Cyndi Lee's OM Yoga Center, and a Co-Active Coach through the Coaches Training Institute. I've also received advanced certification in Thai Yoga Massage from the Traditional Thai Yoga Massage Center with Ananda Apfelbaum in NYC and traveled to Thailand to study with Pichest Boonthume, David Lutt, and at the Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai. I've completed numerous continuing education courses such as Yoga4Cancer with Tari Prinster; Moving Into, Through, and Beyond Trauma with Tom Myers; and The Franklin Method Pelvis Fascia Training with Eric Franklin. I work with clients locally and virtually one-on-one, in group classes, and in online programs. I look forward to moving with you!
