About Angi Hotz
I first discovered Restore Your Core® in January 2018, after the birth of my second child. I had experienced several unexpected injuries—including a dislocated hip, third-degree vaginal tears, and diastasis recti. In those early months, I focused entirely on caring for my newborn and ignored my own recovery. I assumed that postpartum pain was normal (especially since my first birth was a C-section) and that my body would heal with time. My doctor agreed.
But six months later, I was still in considerable pain. I was experiencing vaginismus and struggling with a deep sense of instability—not just fidgeting, but feeling genuinely unsteady on my feet. Despite my concerns, I was repeatedly told that I just needed more time.
Eventually, I advocated for myself and requested a referral to pelvic floor physical therapy—a resource I only discovered through my own online research, not from my doctor. That first session was eye-opening. My physical therapist was the first person to truly explain what was happening with my pelvic floor—something that seems surprising in hindsight, considering I have a degree in Biology. While physical therapy helped, I still didn’t feel like myself. I began to wonder if I would ever fully recover.
That’s when another internet search led me to Restore Your Core®. I purchased the online program and started working through it. I remember having so many “aha” moments as the cues helped me reconnect with my body in new and powerful ways. It took a few attempts to be consistent and complete the program, but it profoundly shaped not only my healing, but also my entire philosophy around health, wellness, and my attitude about my body.
Now, well into my 40s, I feel more at home in my body than ever before. I'm passionate about helping other women reclaim their physical well-being and reject the narrative that pain or dysfunction is just something they have to live with. I completed my teacher training in March 2024, and I’m excited to share how this journey transformed my life—as I support and guide others in reconnecting with and caring for their own bodies.
