I am a yoga teacher and yoga therapist based in Berlin, with a background in psychology and a particular interest in how breathing, the pelvic floor, the abdominal muscles and movement interact.
During my 500-hour yoga teacher and yoga therapy training at nivata Yogaschule Berlin, I became increasingly interested in what happens at the centre of the body during movement. Although anatomy was an important part of my training, I wanted a more integrated and practical understanding of how to translate it into teaching.
My approach was particularly influenced by Lauren Ohayon’s work and by further training in movement, breathing and body awareness. This led me to question some of the approaches I had previously taken for granted, as excessive muscular gripping or relying exclusively on belly breathing, and to explore more nuanced ways of working with pressure, breath and the pelvic floor.
I now combine my yoga and yoga therapy training with my background in psychology to teach movement in a way that is accessible, practical and grounded in the realities of everyday life.
My focus is on helping people develop better awareness and coordination, move with less unnecessary pressure, and maintain strength, mobility and quality of life over the long term.
