What is RYC®?

RYC® (Restore Your Core) is a comprehensive 12-week program designed to help you heal your core and pelvic floor, regain strength and confidence, and return to the activities you love. The program addresses a wide range of issues by working with your whole body as a system, not just isolated parts. As a form of pelvic floor rehabilitation, RYC® helps restore functional movement patterns that support long-term healing. With over 10,000 success stories since 2015, RYC® has become the proven method for regaining strength and confidence long-term.

How is RYC® different from other core/pelvic floor programs?

RYC® understands that your pelvic floor and core don’t exist in isolation. Unlike programs that focus solely on Kegels or spot-treating symptoms, RYC® works with your entire body as an interconnected system. We help you identify your patterns and blind spots, teach you how to change them, and train your core to respond automatically. This creates lasting change that serves you throughout your day, not just during workouts.

What issues can RYC® help with?

I’ve had these issues for years/decades. Can I still benefit from RYC®?

Absolutely! Many of our participants have successfully addressed issues that have persisted for 10, 15, or even 20+ years. Your body has an incredible capacity for healing at any age and stage. We’ve seen women in their 60s and 70s reverse prolapse, significantly reduce diastasis recti, and eliminate symptoms they thought were permanent. It’s never too late to restore your core.

What are the three tracks of RYC®?

We now offer three tracks to meet your specific needs:

  1. RYC® Essentials ($247): Our foundational self-directed program with lifetime access to 16 signature workout classes, educational videos, and bonus content. Perfect for self-motivated individuals who can stick to a plan independently.
  2. RYC® Guided ($497): Our comprehensive guided program that includes everything in Essentials plus added structure, accountability, and options for regressing and scaling exercises. Includes an additional workout path and workout series for a more personalized experience.
  3. RYC® Coached ($1,947): Our premium option includes everything in the RYC® track plus 6 one-on-one coaching sessions with a certified RYC® Coach over an 18-week period. This personalized experience is optimized for efficiency and comprehensive results.

Which track is right for me?
  • Choose RYC® Essentials if you’re self-motivated, don’t require significant modifications, and can move comfortably through different exercises without pain or mobility limitations.
  • Choose RYC® Guided if you prefer a structured approach with clear guidance to keep you accountable. This track is ideal if you need options for modifying and regressing exercises.
  • Choose RYC® Coached if you want every detail addressed and desire a fully personalized experience that is both efficient and comprehensive

Can I upgrade my track later if I need more support?

Yes! If you start with RYC® Essentials or RYC® Guided and later decide you need more support, you can upgrade to a higher track. Contact our support team, and they’ll help you with the process.

I’m over a decade postpartum. Will Restore Your Core® still work for me?

Yes! With the Restore Your Core® Method, women have healed pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, and other postpartum injuries…more than twenty-five years after having their babies!

I’m dealing with pelvic organ prolapse. Is Restore Your Core® right for me?

Everyone’s body is different, and we always encourage you to check with your healthcare provider. However, we can tell you that women with severe prolapse, debilitating back pain, SIJ pain, large diastasis recti gaps, and hernias have found relief and healing with the RYC® method.

How much time does the program require?

Each workout takes approximately 25 minutes, and we recommend doing 4 sessions per week for optimal results. There are also express classes that take 10-15 minutes for days when your time is limited. In total, expect to commit about 1.5-2 hours per week to the program.

Additional movement is healthy, too, and we recommend short daily walks in addition to the workouts.

When will I start to see results?

Every body is unique. We encourage you to listen to your body and approach this program with gentle consistency. Many women have shared that they’ve noticed reduced pain and symptoms in less than two weeks!

I’m new to Restore Your Core®. Should I start with this online program or a Pelvic Floor Assessment?

We recommend starting with the online program, which provides lifetime access to all materials and everything you need to begin your healing journey.

If, after several weeks, you’re not noticing improvements, the Assessment can help identify blind spots or compensation patterns that may be slowing your progress.

Start here—this program truly has everything you need to begin.

Is Restore Your Core® a yoga program?

The short answer is no, and it depends on how you define yoga. Do we say namaste, Om, or use Sanskrit names for exercises? No. Do we mention deities? No. Do we discuss the tenets of yoga? No. None of that. Do we use movements found in yoga classes, which are also adopted by 100s of other fitness modalities? Yes. Do we foster mindfulness with slower movements and breath awareness? Yes, and this is not exclusive to yoga. These practices are even taught at the Mayo Clinic, Harvard, and Stanford, as research has shown that they reduce stress. RYC® is not a yoga program, but there are some movements and sequencing that you would find in a yoga class. Lauren is a trained yoga teacher, as well she has also trained in various methods and modalities, including FRC®, Pilates, and more. Also, rather than pushing for flexibility – a common theme in yoga, we angle for strength and mobility. The program focuses on strength elements rather than “go deeper, stretch harder.”

I’m currently dealing with significant symptoms. Is it safe for me to do this program?

RYC® was designed specifically for people with core and pelvic floor issues, including those with significant symptoms. The program teaches you how to move safely and effectively, with modifications for various conditions. For those with more significant symptoms or concerns, our RYC® Guided track offers additional support through a regressed path featuring standing-only mobility classes, chair-supported exercises, and scaled movements designed for bodies that need more accommodation. This structured approach helps ensure you can participate safely regardless of your starting point. However, we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have concerns about your specific condition.

Do I need special equipment?

No special equipment is required. A yoga mat is helpful but not essential. Some exercises use a yoga block, but we provide alternatives using household items. The program is designed to be accessible with minimal equipment.

Will I have lifetime access to the program?

Yes! Once you purchase RYC®, you’ll have lifetime access to the program and all future updates within your track. This means you can go through the program multiple times, revisit specific videos as needed, and benefit from any improvements or additions we make over time.

What if I get stuck or have questions during the program?

All tracks include access to our help center knowledge base and email support. The RYC® Guided track offers priority email support with faster response times. The RYC® Coached track provides direct messaging support from your dedicated RYC® Professional, who can address your specific concerns and provide personalized guidance. We also have an amazing Facebook community where you can have all your questions answered by trained RYC® professionals and thousands of others who have found success through this program. What kind of results can I realistically expect?

While individual results vary, our participants commonly report:

  • Reduced or eliminated pain (back, hip, knee, pelvic)
  • Decreased or eliminated symptoms of prolapse
  • Improved diastasis recti (narrower gap and improved core function)
  • Elimination of leaking during exercise, sneezing, etc.
  • Improved sexual function and decreased pain during or after sex

I’ve tried other programs without success. Why would RYC® work for me?

I have a hypertonic (too tight) pelvic floor. Is RYC® appropriate for me?

Absolutely. RYC® is particularly effective for people with hypertonic pelvic floors because it teaches you how to release tension, restore coordinated movement, and build balanced strength without creating more gripping patterns. The program incorporates breathing techniques, movement explorations, and nervous system regulation that many clients with hypertonic pelvic floors find transformative in their healing journey.

Will RYC® help with urinary incontinence?

Many RYC® participants report significant improvement or complete resolution of urinary incontinence symptoms. The program addresses both stress incontinence (leaking with sneezing, coughing, jumping) and urge incontinence by teaching you how to optimize your breathing patterns, improve coordination between your diaphragm and pelvic floor, strengthen key supporting muscles, and release areas of tension that may be contributing to your symptoms.

How does RYC® compare to pelvic floor physical therapy?

RYC® and pelvic floor physical therapy can complement each other beautifully. While physical therapy provides personalized assessment and hands-on treatment, RYC® offers comprehensive education and progressive exercises that you can practice consistently at home. Many physical therapists actually recommend RYC® to their clients as an adjunct to their in-person therapy. Some clients find RYC® helps them make faster progress with their physical therapy, while others use RYC® after completing PT to continue their healing journey.

I’ve tried kegels for years without improvement. How is RYC® different?

Unlike traditional approaches that focus solely on kegel exercises, RYC® recognizes that the pelvic floor is part of an integrated system. Many people with pelvic floor dysfunction actually have over-tight muscles that need to learn to release and respond reflexively, not just contract. I have multiple health conditions/injuries. Is RYC® safe for me?

Many participants with conditions like fibromyalgia, hypermobility, arthritis, and previous injuries have successfully completed the program. The movements can be modified to accommodate your specific needs, and the progressive nature of the program allows you to build strength and function gradually at your own pace. Can I do RYC® while also continuing my regular fitness routine?

Yes, many participants successfully integrate RYC® with their existing fitness routines. In the early stages, you might find it beneficial to temporarily scale back high-intensity activities that may aggravate symptoms while you learn new movement patterns. As you progress through the program and build functional strength, you’ll gain valuable skills that enhance all your physical activities. Many participants find they can return to their favorite exercises with improved performance and without pain or symptoms.

What if I have very limited mobility or severe symptoms that make exercise difficult?

RYC® is designed to meet you where you are. The RYC® Guided track includes a regressed path with modified exercises that are accessible even to those with significant mobility limitations or severe symptoms. These include chair-supported classes, standing-only mobility classes, and scaled mobility classes that can be adapted to your current abilities. Many participants with severe limitations have found these gentle starting points allowed them to gradually build strength and function.

How is the RYC® program structured?

RYC® is structured in four progressive stages that systematically build on each other over 12 weeks. Each stage includes core-strengthening classes, flow mobility classes, and educational components that teach you about your body and how to optimize its function. As you advance through the stages, the exercises become more challenging, helping you build strength, coordination, and resilience. The program also includes specialized bonus videos that address specific issues like back pain, prolapse, diastasis recti, and more.

How soon will I be able to get back to high-impact activities like running or CrossFit after starting RYC®?

The timeline for returning to high-impact activities varies depending on your starting point, consistency with the program, and how your individual body responds. RYC® is designed to build a strong foundation first before progressing to more challenging movements. Many participants find they can gradually reintroduce higher impact activities around stages 3-4 of the program (approximately 8-12 weeks), but only if their symptoms have significantly improved and they’ve developed good core coordination.

Rather than focusing on a specific timeline, we encourage you to listen to your body’s feedback. You’ll learn to recognize when your core is responding appropriately to challenges versus when it’s being overwhelmed. This body awareness becomes your guide for safely progressing. Some participants return to modified versions of their favorite activities within a few months, while others take longer—especially if they’re healing from significant prolapse or diastasis recti. The goal isn’t just to get back to these activities quickly, but to return to them with better form, function, and confidence so you can enjoy them sustainably for years to come.

What happens after I complete the 12-week program?

Many participants go through the program multiple times, gaining new insights with each round. Others move on to join RYC® FIT to continue building strength and mobility with core and pelvic floor informed exercise. The skills and awareness you develop in RYC® will benefit you for life, regardless of what exercise you choose to do afterward.

Does RYC® work for men with pelvic floor dysfunction?

Absolutely! While our primary audience is women, the core principles of the program work for all bodies. Men with pelvic floor issues, including hypertonic pelvic floor, chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS), and core instability, have successfully used RYC® to address their symptoms and improve function.

RYC® Guided is our recommended option as it enhances this experience with additional structure and support. You’ll get:
