Port Angeles Washington, USA
Hi, I’m Libby Scofield, I’m a movement teacher/educator, a gardener, a hiker, a walker, a dancer, a snowshoer, and a paddleboarder, to name a few. I grew up being very active, and as many of us have experienced, I began to accumulate injuries, aches, and pains. Over the years I’ve experienced low back pain, SI joint pain, foot pain, shoulder pain, and most recently, occasional stress incontinence. To address my growing list of injuries, in 2007 I was certified in Pilates mat/apparatus and had enough success in quelling the current aches and pains to keep adding new training and certifications. By 2022, I had taken a number of workshops with Lauren Ohayon, and always left them feeling like I’d learned something new and amazing, or been given a different perspective on exercises or concepts, so I took the RYC training and certified in 2023. Since beginning the training, my own current aches and pains have improved. I live and work on Washington’s wild and wonderful Olympic peninsula, you can see me in person for classes, and private sessions in Sequim and Port Angeles, see my website for more information. I have successfully worked with clients in their teens, and elders in their 90s, as well as opera singers, musicians, those looking to enhance performance in their art or sport, people with pelvic floor symptoms, injured people wanting to rehab, and folks just wanting to maintain their fitness. No matter whom I’m working with, it is my mission to teach clients skills that improve their quality of life, reduce pain, and increase their ability to live the life they want to lead.
