I am an educator, certified yoga teacher, mindfulness instructor, and avid participant, and teacher of all things Restore Your Core®! I came to yoga and mindfulness as a special education teacher needing ways to manage stress and anxiety. I became a yoga instructor in 2012 to deepen my own practice and continued training to share these tools with my students. I now specialize in teaching mindfulness and yoga to kids of all ages in addition to teaching adults. I found RYC® while recovering from a back injury and diastasis recti from my first pregnancy. After RYC helped me heal, I had to share this life changing knowledge with other people so I became a RYC® teacher in 2021. Using RYC® and One Strong Mama® allowed me to work through Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) and Sacroiliac Joint (SIJ) issues and feel stronger and more powerful than ever in my second pregnancy and delivery. I am currently back at it, using RYC® to recover postpartum and heal a prolapse. RYC® has given me the confidence to know, trust, and believe in my body’s ability to heal. I know I can work through whatever comes my way with the tools I have. This empowerment is invaluable. As an RYC® teacher, I help people find confidence and strength in their own bodies with lots of compassion and support. My goal is to help people deepen their awareness about how they move and live in their bodies, while developing functional strength that supports their daily activities and enhances comfort and ease in life. Who doesn’t want to be able to pick up their groceries or their kids without pain? I want clients to be able to return to the things they love without pain and in a way that is safe for their pelvic floor. I continue to incorporate mindfulness and self compassion practices into my teaching and one-on-one work as an important element of healing.
